NEWS:
WINTER 2012
THE DISCOVERY CENTRE

Plans for establishing the centre in collaboration with Menter Fachwen is now in full swing and the building for it and other projects on the High Street in Llanberis has been bought! The project involves establishing a series of mapping, digital, community and educational projects throughout north Wales...and Menter Fachwen will be running a cafe, an information centre and a gallery/conference space for people to come and chill out. Watch this space!
Y SER YN EU TYNERWCH

The book of my nightscapes was released on November 15 and the critical and commercial reaction has been superb. I filmed an item on the book for S4C’s ‘Wedi 7’ (image above) programme and I have also recorded a radio programme for BBC Radio Cymru. Another radio project is to follow in 2012.
“Y Ser yn eu Tynerwch” is published by Gwasg Carreg Gwalch (ISBN 978-1-84527-343-9) and available in bookshops throughout Wales an in Amazon (Hardback £16).
MAPS

Preliminary discussions have taken place with The Countryside Council for Wales and The Edward Llwyd Society to work on a project to map the nearly complete Welsh Coastal Path. Also I have been commissioned to develop residential Photographic Courses for Celticos Ltd based on the historical mapping projects. The first should take place in the spring.
TIME FLIES

Preliminary experimental illustration work has begun on ‘TIME FLIES’, a graphic novel written by Geraint Thomas of the National Museum of Wales. The story is a new an original take on the legend of Prince Madog and his ‘discovery’ of America in the 12th century with some scenes taking place in modern day Wales. Each image is drawn but produced in ‘layers’ allowing for innovative visual effects.
